Why I’m Running
My wife, Gaby, and I have five children and 10 grandchildren between us! Two of our sons have homes in Fountain Hills, one is married with two daughters. Our two granddaughters are in the Fountain Hills Middle School. Their quality of life is important to me.
Many years ago in Arlington Heights, Illinois, the Arlington Heights Council voted to deny a rezoning request from my development group. A comment from the Mayor resonated with me, “You know, we have a wonderful town to live in. A big part of what makes it a wonderful town are the Laws and Ordinances we live by.”
The same applies to Fountain Hills. We have a wonderful town too. A big part of what makes it a wonderful town is the land plan and the Laws and Ordinances that support the land plan and our quality of life. If we don’t like the ordinances we live by, we should still follow them until we can get them changed. I’ll ask you, should each of us get to pick which laws and ordinances we want to follow and which we want to ignore?
